COLORFUL SOUTHWEST TOUR • Visit Trou Aux Cerfs (volcanic crater) • Mare aux Vacoas (the largest reservoir) • Grand Bassin/Ganga Talao (Spiritual Lake and Giant Statue of Shiva) • Visit Alexandra Waterfalls (viewpoint) • Visit the Black River Gorges (viewpoint) • Optional: Chamarel Rum Distillery or Curious Corner Chamarel Waterfall • Visit the famous Seven Colored Earths • Bénitiers Island (viewpoint) 2. EXOTIC SOUTH TOUR • At Grand Bassin, you can admire the statue of Mangal Mahadev, a 33-meter-high sculpture representing the Hindu god Shiva standing with his trident • The Valley of Colors, the famous 23-colored earths with numerous activities including quad biking, zip lines, hiking, 4x4 tours, and mountain sledding. • Le Macondé (viewpoint), part of one of the most scenic tours on the island • Gris-Gris, admire the rugged landscape of Gris-Gris and the rock sculpted by the waves to resemble a rock • La Vanille Nature Park, visit the crocodile park 3.
