Odysseo Oceanarium Mauritius: The largest oceanarium in the Mascarenes and the first of its kind in Mauritius, a place of discovery, education, and awareness. Located on the seafront in Port Louis, the island's capital, the oceanarium is close to shops, cultural centers, and hotels. With its 5,500 m² of visitor space, the oceanarium will allow visitors to discover no fewer than 45 different habitats nestled in 2,000 m³ of crystal-clear water. Visitors will be able to discover some 200 species (3,500 specimens at opening time). 1. FEEDING THE FISH Have the chance to participate in one of the most precious tasks of the day: feeding the fish! It's also a wonderful time to spend with the animals. Monday to Sunday Hours: 10am & 2pm Minimum: 4 People Maximum: 8 People Duration: 15 minutes 2. BIOLOGIST FOR A DAY (12+ years) A day behind the scenes with one of our marine experts/aquarists If you've ever wondered what it's like to work at an aquarium like Odyssey, a day as a biologist is your chance to see what it's like. From cleaning tanks to feeding fish to performing scientific tasks, aquarists have a unique job! Come join our biology team for a day and wander behind the scenes at Odyssey, like one of us. Monday to Friday Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Maximum: 2 People 3. SWIM WITH SHARKS (13+ years) Get closer than ever to sharks and seize the opportunity to observe and learn more about them. You'll get thrills watching these graceful animals swim alongside you. This experience will allow you to feel a bond with this animal and learn how to protect them. Only Tuesday & Thursday Hours: 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM Minimum: 4 People 4. SLEEP WITH SHARKS Do sharks sleep? How do the fish in the aquarium behave at night? Feel like a fish in water and fall asleep among the sharks! A front-row seat to see shark behavior when no one is watching. - Included: Bedding - Dinner and breakfast - Beverages (juice/water/sparkling soda) - Guided night tour of the aquarium - Souvenir T-shirt Only Friday evenings Hours: 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Minimum: 10 people Maximum: 14 people
