Whale Watching in Mauritius: Observe these gentle giants in the deep sea. They are generally two distinct species of whales: sperm whales, permanent residents that live on the high seas year-round, and humpback whales, which migrate to our shores from May to September to feed and protect their young. Depending on the season and the conditions of the day, we will have the opportunity to observe either humpback whales or sperm whales in their natural habitat. Tour duration: approximately 3 hours, depending on the whales' location. Patience is essential when observing these majestic marine creatures. Please note that the presence of whales is not guaranteed, but we use a hydrophone to locate them when necessary. We offer a 10% discount on the total price if whales are not seen during the tour. Included for your comfort: homemade banana bread and soft drinks. For this specific excursion, we recommend not bringing young children. In accordance with the Mauritius Tourism Authority's Dolphin and Whale Watching Regulations 2012, swimming with whales is strictly prohibited in Mauritius. This excursion focuses exclusively on the respectful observation of these magnificent animals, in accordance with Mauritian law. Each boat can accommodate up to 8 people.
