Horseback Riding Options in Mauritius 1 Hour: 1. INTRODUCTION (30 MIN) The equestrian initiation is the basis of all activities for those with little or no experience on horses. This initiation is mandatory before any other activity for new clients, if only to assess the riders' true quality. The initiation takes place in the riding arena with a riding instructor. During the initiation, you will learn how to steer your horse, how to make it move forward/stop, and how to go right/left. 2. BEACH RIDE After an initiation period (if necessary), clients set off on horseback, still at a walk, towards the nearby beach. Note: During the ride, the stud farm photographer positions himself to take beautiful photos of the riders in the wild nature of Mauritius. 3. SWIMMING WITH THE HORSES Reserved for trained riders, swimming with the horses adds to the previous activity a trip into the sea up to the horse's saddle. The horse swims with its rider in the saddle. 4. SUNSET RIDE This is the same horseback ride as the beach ride, but at sunset, providing a wonderful photo opportunity. 5. PONIES FOR CHILDREN During this activity, reserved for children, the trainer is trained for this specific population. Children are cared for with age-appropriate activities. They ride ponies adapted to their size. 6.
