Required documents:
The following documents are required by the Civil Status Office to celebrate a marriage in Mauritius:
• copy of the first three pages of the passports;
• 1 copy of birth certificates (dated less than 3 months before the date of marriage);
• 1 copy of the divorce certificate or the spouse's death certificate if necessary; • 1 marriage form (provided by the TO) duly completed and signed by the future spouses; and
• French nationals must present a certificate of capacity to marry and inform the French Embassy based in Mauritius 3 months before the wedding date
Terms :
• Beachcomber Bliss package is mandatory and a minimum stay of 3 nights is required (This may take longer for administrative formalities)
• Outsourced services:
- A service fee of 50 euros will be applicable for each outsourced service organized by the future bride and groom.
- Service charges will only apply for guests staying less than 7 nights
- A 'wedding planner' package of 150 euros is applicable to all future brides and grooms using this service (even if they stay more than 7 nights)
• Document certifying a change of name when applicable.
• All marriage documents must be translated into English or French and all translations must be certified by a certified translator.
• A legal translator is available upon request.
• A woman who wishes to marry within 10 months of a divorce must undergo a pregnancy test (at her own expense)
A civil marriage cannot be celebrated in Mauritius in the event of a positive test.
