Nestled in the Vainqueur region, Origin Eco Chalets offers a different way to discover Rodrigues: gentler, closer to nature, and resolutely focused on the essentials. The four wooden chalets blend seamlessly into an orchard of century-old mango trees, featuring minimalist décor and a warm atmosphere.


Each accommodation features its own natural swimming pool, a furnished veranda, and views of the valley. The property also emphasizes environmental preservation through the use of sustainably sourced materials, rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, and solar panels.

Chalet – 2 people

Designed for a romantic getaway, this detached chalet offers a bedroom, a bathroom, and a comfortably furnished veranda. Its private pool invites you to savor moments of tranquility in complete privacy, while the views over the valley enhance the feeling of escape.


The design combines wood, natural materials, and minimalist decor. The room features a wardrobe, safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, and a water dispenser. The sheets, towels, and pillows are made of bamboo fiber, and the toiletries are eco-friendly and locally produced.

The Origin Restaurant

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cuisine showcases produce from the garden and locally sourced ingredients, following a farm-to-table approach.


Traditional Rodriguan recipes are prepared over a wood fire or on a barbecue, to reveal the flavors of local produce: fresh fish, sweet potato, breadfruit, red beans and papaya, among others.


Homemade drinks

The establishment also offers natural drinks prepared on site, including kombucha, kefir and ginger beers.
